The 2020 Graduation Season – A Celebration Deferred

College Success Life, Graduation

The 2020 graduation season, a highly anticipated lifetime event for so many, did not happen for most high school and college graduates in the U.S.  The coronavirus pandemic happened instead.

Many long awaited dreams of celebration were crushed by this uninvited intruder.  Yet, it does not take away the significance of their accomplishment.

The class of 2020, indeed, will begin a new life chapter, albeit one with unanticipated challenges that provide a new aura around the age old question…”What do I really want to do after graduation?”.

And although families, from across the nation, will not get the opportunity to converge on high school and college campuses to honor and celebrate their loved one’s achievement, this is still a time for celebration!

College Success Life Redbubble Gift Shop

So, at College Success Life, we decided this year to create a few novelty graduation gift mementos, available for purchase in the Redbubble Gift Marketplace.

Our thinking is that if family members could send the honoree a whimsical congratulatory acknowledgement of their achievement, it could uplift everyone’s spirits until such time as the family is able to reconvene and celebrate as originally planned.

Take a few minutes and browse through our diverse Commencement Collection. Let’s us know what you think.  Our gift prices range from $3.31 to $86.87, offering an eclectic assortment of mementos that you can easily turn into a “grad real world care package”.

With commencement happening every year, we thought it would be a great idea to offer a gift selection that also reminisces, motivates, and inspires.

Congratulations to the Class of 2020…the best, even in the time of a pandemic virus, is yet to come!

A Word to the Wise...

An Academic Pearl of Wisdom

Whenever a college student faces an academic and/or social challenge, they often ask a peer or a friend first for advice.

And that’s okay.

However, resolving the issue to your best advantage often requires consulting with an academic advising professional as well.

Your academic adviser knows the campus academically, administratively, and socially.

And what they don’t know, they can point you to the person who does know. Include this strategy in your current plan for college success.

And we're always available to help as well!

Academic Advising

Disclaimer Reminder: A college student's first line of inquiry should always be with their campus academic adviser. College Success Life Advising Sessions provide additional problem-solving options to undergraduate and graduate students for further exploration on their individual campuses. Students should always consult their assigned adviser not only during the course selection process but periodically to keep apprised of programmatic changes, testing requirements, course additions/deletions, GPA modifications, etc.
